  • First off, we will be moving soon to a new primary server, however, due to the way the forums were originally set up, they will likely remain hosted on this server for a while, possibly permanently. This site will still remain online as a mirror and will act as a secondary download source as well, so it will always remain up to date. The new primary domain will be pulsarsoftware.net.
  • LaunchDock 0.5 has been made available and the source has been updated as well. The changes were kept minimal, but they were highly requested features that were added. If you have 0.4 installed, this installer will not overwrite your settings.

  • We are well into 2010 and I have several new pieces of software up on the site: Desktop Calendar, DiceRoller and TipCalc are now available for Windows Mobile 6, RecipeBook 0.2 has been released, and Latin Lookup 0.1, Latin Lookup Mobile 1.0 and CCPad 0.1 have been released. Source for all mobile software is available for download as well as for Latin Lookup 0.1. Source will not be released for CCPad.

  • The page underwent some major changes, including the adaption of CSS and a new method of viewing the screenshots implimented using LightBox. There will still be some minor changes and tune-ups in the near future.

  • At some point in the future I also hope to have a few select pieces of software ported over to OS X using XCode (applescript/cocoa). I am interested in getting suggestions on what software people would like to see on OS X. I also want to port a few applications for use on the iphone/itouch platform.

  • I have also become aware of some issues involving database write errors for some applications in Windows Vista and 7. These errors will not be fixed until the next release for any given piece of software. If you are running Vista or 7, the best way to avoid problems with any of my software is to install it to your user directory instead of program files. All new installers will reflect this.

  • I also want to announce that there will be only a few new applications released over the next year. The past six months have been focused on preparing projects and concepts I had been working on over the last few years for production release. Focus from this point on will mostly be on stabalization and feature development on existing projects. I also want to put more focus on mobile development, primarily ports to Android, but also to Blackberry as well.

  • All applications have been repackaged in new installers to allow for the difference in a 64 bit architecture versus a 32 bit architecure because System.Data.Sqlite needs a different dll for each architecture. Source packages have been modified as well to reflect this change in the installer. In addition, all GPL license documents have been updated from GPL 2 to GPL 3.

  • Fixed several bugs in SecurePad and released new version with RTF ability, more feature rich toolbar and it now uses icons from the Tango Desktop Project.  SecurePad also integrates itself into explorer with the extension .spt for encrypted files. Plans for further development of SecurePad include the addition of tabs. If you have suggestions about features you would like to see, please contact me and I'll see what I can do.

  • Identified problem where system.data.sqlite.dll was required outside of the development environment for applications to run without causing an exception in the .Net framework. The exception also rendered any functions that accessed the database useless. Setup files were repackaged to include this file. If you are having problems with any of the programs you can download the current setup files and reinstall or you can go to the system.data.sqlite website at: http://sqlite.phxsoftware.com/ and download the dll file directly.
